Takbir Tashriq consists of several phrases declaring the greatness of Allah, that He alone is worthy of worship, and that all praise belongs to Him alone.
During five days of Dhul-Hijjah from 9th to 13th, reciting Takbir Tashriq is wajib after every fard prayer. The recitation begins after the Fajr prayer on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah and ends after the Asr prayer on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.
Text of Takbir Tashriq:
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْد
Transliteration:
Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha illallaahu, wallaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, wa lillaahil-hamd.
Rules related to this takbir:
Takbir Tashriq is obligatory (wajib) for both men and women.
It is wajib to recite it once after every obligatory prayer during the specified period.
The takbir should be recited immediately after the salam.
